Evention is looking for a dynamic experienced Product Owner to organize, prioritize, and assess work to be done that will drive what we will build and ensure maximum value to the product stakeholders You will be a critical thinker, collaborator, and communicator who is responsible for understanding the vision of the product, how it contributes to the goals of the organization overall, and work with the team every day to turn ideas into working code. Ultimately, you’ll help Evention roll-out products that deliver our company’s vision.
This is an exempt and in-office/hybrid role in Chicago – remote candidates will not be considered. Must be

Start Date: 01/01/2024
Salary: $80,000-$100,000
- Work experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management (2+ years)
- Agile experience (2+years)
- Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product lifecycle
- Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies
- Team spirit and good communication abilities
- Good organizational skills
- College degree or similar experience
Product Owner responsibilities include:
- Working cross-functionally between product and development to break down the market problems into tangible work items that can be estimated and delivered against
- Working with the product manager to prioritize the backlog
- Partner with development to facilitate the plan for both releases and their iterations
- Work with stakeholders and internal teams to help them understand specific features and capabilities of the Evention solutions
- Coordinate with the Product Manager in the following areas: communication, setting expectations, and gathering feedback from customers, end users, internal teams, leadership, and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with the product manager to define, refine, and maintain a good understanding of the users (internal/external) Evention’s solutions support
Task Responsibilities:
- Analyze preferences and requests of end users of Evention’s solutions
- Incorporate feature requests into product roadmap
- Develop user stories, define acceptance criteria, write user acceptance
- Refine and prioritize backlog
- Plan releases and upgrades
- Set iteration goals
- Accept and reject work completed by development based on acceptance criteria and definition of done
- Follow the progress of work and address production issues during iterations
